Ever since the fourth grade when we started long division, I’ve struggled with math. What kind of asian am I? I hate math with a passion which probably has dictated my whole love life. I’ve noticed that every single guy I’ve liked has been good at math and at one point tutored me. I mean, it’s so convenient to go shopping with them. There’s a sale? Hey, what’s 60% of $38? $15.12. Thank you. In all seriousness tho, I cannot. I bombed the math placement test which I tried to make light of, telling myself maybe I’ll actually learn this time around. Nope. I sit in class & all I see are numbers, circles, triangles, radians, radicals, angles, and the greek alphabet. Fuck you, math.
Everybody’s got their own plate of shit to deal with, everybody’s fighting their own demons everyday. It’s fucking crazy how “you could be standing next to somebody completely broken and you’d never know.” When people tell me what they’ve been through, what they’re dealing with, I really would’ve never imagined.
Interesting child abuse poster
A poster made by The Spanish organization ANAR Foundation (Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk). They started a new street poster campaign that uses the process of lenticular printing to secretly send a message to abused children without alerting their abusers, even if they’re walking together.
Anyone over 4’5” sees this view, with a caption: “Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it.”
Anyone shorter sees the beaten child version of the poster with another caption saying: “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you.”
Damn.
